"Christmas comes but once a year" and it’s probably just as well judging by the chaos that it causes in this classic comedy of manners. Without doubt one of the funniest plays from Britain’s funniest playwright, Season’s Greetings tells the story of Belinda and Neville’s Christmas from Hell. The gun-toting uncle, the alcoholic sister-in-law and her ineffectual husband, and a mysterious visitor all make an appearance.

This is a play for anyone who has ever sung ‘Christmas is coming’ with more than a slight sense of dread. It is perfect Christmas fare for an office Christmas party, a family outing, or anyone who just wants to escape from all the forced festive cheer and remind themselves what Christmas is really all about – arguing with relatives.

Director, Alan Fraser, is confident that Season’s Greetings offers a great alternative to a traditional panto:

"This play has been reducing audiences to tears of laughter for twenty years now. Its reputation as the Christmas comedy makes it a guaranteed great night out. It reminds us all that the petty squabbles and family bickering that we all go through over the festive period is actually normal. But most of all it just makes us laugh."
