Linda’s West End acting credits include “Decadence”, “The Trial”, “Metamorphosis”, “Hamlet”, “Greek”, “Coriolanus” directed by Steven Berkoff. “Too Clever By Half” and “A Flea in Her Ear” directed by Richard Jones at the Old Vic. “One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest” (Manchester Royal Exchange), “A Streetcar Named Desire” (Sherman Theatre, Cardiff), “Callas” directed by Paul Kerryson (Oldham Coliseum).  Mrs Venables in “Suddenly Last Summer” directed by Ralph Koltai (Nottingham Playhouse). For the “Royal Shakespeare Company”; “The Virtuoso” and “The Theban Triology”. Linda has also added three solo shows to her repertoire; “Berkoff’s Women”, “Diatribe of Love” and “No Fear!”, all currently touring.

TV credits include Floodtide, The Avengers, The Queens Arms, The Fear, The Ruth Rendell Mysteries, The Green Man (with Albert Finney), Lovejoy, Love Hurts and Class Act. Lynda La Plante’s series She’s Out, Silent Witness, Dalziel and Pascoe, Midsomer Murders, Chambers and Spooks. Linda recently appeared in the six  part LWT drama Family.

Film credits include: Big Zapper, Beckett, The Man Outside, Tamlyn, Manifesto, Mr Love, Wasp and more recently The House of Mirth with Gillian Anderson.

Directing credits include “Lunch” by Steven Berkoff (Library Theatre, Manchester, Kings Head, New End, Young Vic, London), “Zoo Story” (New End Theatre, London), “Gala Dali” (Old Red Lion), “A view From The Bridge” and “Madhouse In Goa” (Oldham Coliseum), “Metamorphosis” (Contact Theatre, Manchester). “Through The Leaves”, “The Artificial Jungle”, “Mensch Meier”, “A View From The Bridge” and “There Are Crimes And Crimes” all at the Leicester Haymarket Theatre where she also appeared in the one-woman show “One Small Step”. “Invade My Privacy” (Riverside Studios, London). “Harry’s Christmas” by Steven Berkoff, Odense, Denmark. “High Brave Boy” at the Edinburgh Festival 2003. “The Invisible Monkey” New End Theatre, Hampstead. She won the 1990 Manchester Evening News Award for Best Director.

Linda Marlowe worked with Steven Berkoff over a twenty-five year span as his leading lady in most of his plays, touring internationally and in London’s West End. Her association with him gave rise to her first solo show, ‘Berkoff’s Women’, directed by Josie Lawrence. She then followed it on with four more solo shows, ‘Diatribe of Love’, ‘No Fear!’, ‘Mortal Ladies Possessed’ and ‘Believe’.

In her many television and film appearances she has been lucky to work with actors such as Richard Burton, Peter O’Toole, Albert Finney and Gillian Anderson. Linda was last seen on television with James Nesbitt in the six-part series for BBC, Jekyll.
