Samaagama is an exciting annual dance event put together by Chitraleka Dance Company, showcasing specially choreographed classical dances performed by current and past students of Chitraleka Bolar.
Students will present their skills in the South Asian dance style, Bharatnatyam. Abilities range from the very young to those who now teach professionally, locally and in other regions.
This year, the company is proud to present the work by pupils of Prince Albert Primary & Colebourne Primary schools who will be performing Indian folk dances from their project, ‘Journey through India’.
This project has been made possible through Birmingham City Council’s ‘Cultural Future Awards’.
