Sunday 18th July 2010 at 2.30 and 7.00pm in The Ron Barber Studio

Philpott’s Community

Judith Philpott is struggling to maintain the crumbling Community Hall. Whilst battling against all odds she is determined to increase local people’s interests.

In the meantime, the community kitchen, neglected by Norma after her husband dies, is on the verge of being condemned due to its rat infestation. Just when Judith and Norma’s lives couldn’t get any worse, a mysterious letter arrives, leading to Norma’s long lost sister Kathleen Cusack, a wealthy entrepreneur well known for her television show “Lion’s Pen”.

A heart warming and comical fast moving portrayal of characters presented by a large talented cast of 11-16 year olds.

Written and directed by Kate-Lynn Hocking.

Shakespeare Shorts

South Birmingham Theatre Company proudly presents a stunning selection of Shakespeare’s sizzling scenes.

Driven mad by jealousy, Othello explodes his rage against his innocent wife.

An intense flash of lightning strikes when the two lovers Romeo and Juliet meet.

When trying to gain power, hoping to increase their pleasure, Macbeth and his wife find themselves wracked with guilt and paranoia.

Complications arise in the forest when Puck makes the mistake of putting the drops on the eyelids of Lysander. Helena stumbles over Lysander in the forest, and the spell is cast; Lysander now desires Helena and renounces a stunned Hermia.

Directed by Kate-Lynn Hocking.
