Tinkers Farm Opera present
The Merry Widow
Tue 9th - Sat 13th Nov 2010 at 7.30pm in The Main House
For the first time in its long history, Tinkers Farm Opera present the most celebrated and successful show of its kind. "The Merry Widow" is the light-hearted story of Anna Glavari, the witty widow of an outrageously wealthy banker and the attempts of the Pontevedrian ambassador to save his country from bankruptcy by marrying her to reluctant attaché, Count Danilo. Lehar’s magical score, combined with lovers' trysts, political intrigue, lavish parties and Parisian dancing girls make this show a must for aficionados and newcomers to operetta alike.
