The Arcadians presentThe Best Little Whorehouse in TexasBook by Larry King and Peter MastersonMusic & Lyrics by Carol Hall Tue 5th – Sat 9th April at 7.30pm in The Main House Join the Arcadians as they head for 1970s Texas, where trouble is brewing for Mona Stangley and her girls at the local whorehouse (fondly known as "The Chicken Ranch"). Despite it having existed in harmony with the local community for at least a century, holier-than-thou TV presenter, Melvin P. Thorpe, takes it upon himself to start a campaign to close the Chicken Ranch. However, the girls (and many of the locals - including the Sheriff) are not willing to let it go without a fight! Full of toe-tapping numbers (including 20 Fans, 24 Hours of Lovin' and Hard Candy Christmas), and lots of laughs, this is heartwarming story of what the Chicken Ranch really means to all those connected with it. If you have seen and enjoyed the Dolly Parton film version, the stage version will be even better, so don't miss it! Tickets: £13 - £15 |
