Having seen this production of Hamlet last night, I would like to congratulate the whole cast for their fabulously entertaining and thorough performance! Although it took a while to warm up, this interpretation brought forth a new experience, not only in the tasteful use of sound and lights and mature choice of props and costume but also evidently in the energy, skill and thought put into the acting. I feel that I was greatly treated to observe Pete Smith who played Hamlet, as the conviction with which he performed and his convincing stamina of physicality was nothing less than delightful! Well done! Unfortunately, the play is a long one so the audience I'm aggrieved to say did not seem to have the energy to give the actors the full appreciation they deserved, especially the main character, Hamlet. I am currently studying Drama at A level and have performed at the the Crescent in the past, so I just thought I would give you the accolade you truly deserve! :D
