Alan Marshall is always a popular director to work for and going to his rehearsals it’s easy to see why. Always engaging, interesting and creative he manages a studio full of actors with ease. As to the show, it looks really good and promises to be one of the more visceral ‘Caesars’ one is likely to see. The Crescent takes a breather from the stage for two weeks but will be back with JC on April 16th in the Ron Barber Studio.

The Crescent Youth Theatre seniors have the next opening night at the theatre. ‘Maskerade’ by Terry Pratchet is an irreverent dig at the world of (Phantom Of The) opera and the Youth Theatre company bring out all of Pratchetts jokes to very funny effect. Directed by Rachael Veazey it runs from 24th – 26th in the Ron Barber Studio.
‘Cat On A Hot Tin Roof’ is said to be Tennessee Williams’ favourite play of his own work. Easy to see why when you see the terrific production about to play on the Crescent main stage. Themes of sexual desire, decay, greed and death have rarely been so brilliantly woven into a piece of art.

The chracter Brick, from the Crescent’s forthcoming production of Tennessee Williams’ classic Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, spends most of his time on stage drinking Echo Spring bourbon.
However, my recently getting plastered had nothing to do with intoxication, but was to do with Brick’s accident on the High School athletic field which results in a broken ankle…

The show certainly has a wonderful cast.
