"From Page to Stage” - Seminars/Workshops
Three Seminars/Workshops are planned under the general heading “From Page to Stage”.
Joining us for the weekend from the RSC, will be Lyn Darnley, Ruth Hall and Alison Sutcliffe. Lyn is the RSC's Head of Text, Voice and Artist Development Coach, Ruth a Freelance Designer for the RSC and Alison Sutcliffe, an ex director of the RSC who now also works freelance. They will be leading our seminar/workshops for us.
Seminar/Workshop 1The designer, Ruth Hall - RSC designer Making real the director’s vision, inspiration, naturalism vs. artificiality, working with other creative members of the team. Saturday 10.00 – 10.30am |
Seminar/Workshop 2The director, Alison Sutcliffe - ex RSC director Creating a vision for the play from an author’s words, constructing the team, meaning and message, artistic policy. Saturday 2.15 – 3.15pm |
Seminar/Workshop 3The actor, Lyn Darnley - RSC actor Interpreting the character, role in developing new work, textual analysis, presenting meaning and message. Saturday 3.45 – 4.45pm |
