The Jeff Astle Foundation presents a celebration of Jeff’s life.
For West Brom fans Jeff’s memory lives on, revered as one of the club’s greatest number 9s and definitely the most loved. Our play relives special moments in Jeff’s life, a man with a wicked sense of humour who always had time for the fans. Jeff’s career began at Notts County as understudy to the great Tommy Lawton, but he made his name at West Brom. Known as a prolific header of the ball, Jeff made 361 appearances for the baggies, scoring 174 goals including the 1968 FA Cup Final winner.
In 2002, aged just 59, Jeff’s life ended tragically with the coroner ruling his death ‘industrial disease’, the result of heading heavy leather footballs.
An unmissable event for all footie fans. All proceeds go to The Jeff Astle Foundation.
Due to circumstances beyond the control of the organiser, the matinee & evening performances on Sunday 27th May have been cancelled. Ticket holders will be contacted by Box Office in due course.
Tickets: £16 (concessions £13)
