The Arcadians move stateside as they present Jonathan Larson's iconic rock musical, Rent.
Based on a modernised version of Puccini’s La Bohème, and set in 1990s New York, Rent follows a year in the life of a group of struggling young artists and musicians seeking love and fulfilment under the shadow of AIDS. With an energetic, and often moving, score (featuring the songs Seasons of Love, Out Tonight and Without You among many others) it brings a message of love and hope amidst the despair of death.
This amateur production is presented by arrangement with Josef Weinberger Ltd. on behalf of Music Theatre International of New York.
