Katherina and Bianca are sisters, unalike in many ways. Bianca, the youngest, wishes to marry, encouraging her suitors with charm and allure. Katherina mocks all her wooers out of suit with her wicked words and tempestuous outbursts. Their father, despairing of ever finding his eldest daughter a husband, decides he will not allow Bianca to marry until Katherina’s wed.

Two gentlemen, fighting for Bianca’s love, plan to engage a boisterous man to ‘tame’ Katherina into a state of honourable marriage…

A stranger, mistaken identity and persistence of unrequited hearts: what could possibly go wrong…?
