The Arcadians presents
Oh What A Lovely War
18 - 22 Nov in the Main House at 7.30pm | Matinee: Sat 22 November at 2.30pm
The Arcadians are proud to mark the centenary year of the outbreak of World War I with their production of Oh What a Lovely War.
This stirring musical satire, which achieved international acclaim following its London premier in 1963, sets the grim realities of war against the colours, music and irreverent humour of the music hall. Featuring front-line soldiers, chorus girls, music hall singers and parodies of leading figures, and with many popular songs of the time (including Pack Up Your Troubles, Row, Row, Row, Goodbye-ee and Keep the Home Fires Burning), amidst the laughing and the singing it has a poignant message for everyone.
Suitable for all ages
