When the usurped Duke of Milan and his daughter, Miranda, are cast out to sea to face certain death, the jealous instigator of this plot little reckons on the fate that awaits him.
This tale of revenge and reconciliation, love and hate, comedy and near tragedy, captures its audience as well as the characters on stage with the magic and wonder of Prospero’s island and some of Shakespeare’s most beautiful verse.
"Just got back from seeing the Tempest. What an absolute belter of a show. An extremely strong cast, terrific use of music and lighting, and an otherworldly feel on the whole. Well done to all involved, and enjoy the rest of the run!" T.D.
"The theatre was really intimate and suited the performance. I took my son who is studying The Tempest at school and he found it really helpful to see the show live. It was great to be so close to the actors and to be talked to by them. The story came across clearly and everything flowed so the time went quickly which does not always happen when you watch Shakespeare. The actor playing Prospero was excellent. We also liked the comedy characters." Anon
"Brilliant performance of The Tempest tonight. Thank you Liz, cast and crew for entertaining the boys and I. "The thing with Shakespeare is it's long but the thing about that, is that tonight it didn't matter,"" T.C.
