In this hilarious satire, one storyline becomes five delightful musicals, each written in the distinctive style of a different master of the form, from Rodgers and Hammerstein to Stephen Sondheim. Each musical is a loving tribute to a different chapter in the history of the genre. Laugh, cry, hum along, and be reminded of why you fell in love with musical theatre in the first place.

The Musical of Musicals ... wow! If you love musicals, you’ll love this. If you don’t like musicals, you may well love this as it takes its satirical look at the genre. If you love watching fantastically gifted performers at the top of their game (Tiff, Karen, Mark, Josh, Andrew and Erica), this is for you. And if on top of that, or beside it, or behind it or whatever, your appreciation is heightened by reflecting on all the other talents (direction, musical direction, choreography, management, costumes, lighting, sound, props) that have been brought to bear you are in for a rare evening. Well done everyone, a super night’s entertainment.
Another fabulous evening at the Crescent Theatre watching Colin Lang's production of The Musical of Musicals. Excellent performances by Tiff Karen Mark and Josh and Lauren on piano. It would be stupid to miss it. Not forgetting Andrew as narrator
Simply brilliant. Witty script, expertly produced, choreographed and performed by a very talented quartet with excellent musical backing. As a (lapsed) Crescent Company member I was very pleased to see the theatre offering productions of such high quality.
My compliments to all members of the cast and production team. - K.S
