Welcome to the World Premiere of the Top Ten Bestseller - the perfect ‘Christmas’ treat from one of the nation’s most loved storytellers.

Uproarious and touching by turns, a sparkling collection of highlights from A Wayne in a Manger, with additions from The Virgin Mary’s Got Nits, this show will remind you all that even the most famous story doesn’t always end the way we expect....!

‘For anyone who has ever attended an infant nativity play and cried silent tears – of laughter’ Daily Express

Every teacher has a story to tell about the Christmas Nativity play: the Innkeeper who when asked if there was any room at the inn, answered ‘plenty’ and ushered the startled Holy Family inside; the occasion when Mary dropped Baby Jesus, bursting into tears as the large pink doll rolled off the stage; the time that the Angel Gabriel informed Mary that he had tidings of great joy to bring, but had completely forgotten what they were, and the memorable moment the giant cardboard star suspended on a wire above the stage fell on Joseph, who rubbed his head and exclaimed ‘Bloody ‘ell!’

'(Ex-School Inspector) Phinn writes with that smooth, deceptively easy fluency which is the hallmark of quality. Combine this with a seemingly inexhaustible fund of anecdotes, peopled by characters brought to life with warmth, humour and affection and the result is as delightful as it is inevitable.’ Yorkshire Evening Post

Tickets: £10.50

Please note: Due to high demand we have now added an extra date which will be Tuesday 10th January as an additional performance. Please be aware that the show on this date will be an open dress rehearsal preview night.
