CRAZY FOR YOU is the story of Bobby Child, a well-to-do 1930's playboy, who's dream in life is to dance.
And despite the serious efforts of his mother and soon-to-be-ex-fiancee, Bobby achieves his dream!
Memorable Gershwin tunes include: I Can't Be Bothered Now, Bidin' My Time, I Got Rhythm, Naughty Baby, They Can't Take That Away from Me, But Not for Me, Nice Work if You Can Get It, Embraceable You and Someone to Watch Over Me.
It's a high energy comedy which includes mistaken identity, plot twists, fabulous dance numbers and classic Gershwin music.

"Wonderful production. Such a talented cast, especially the lead roles, Pollly and Bobby? Must make a special mention of Irene and Lank, such chemistry and wit. Fantastic songs and dancing, great witty and clever choreography.
Best show in town, a must see." Anon.
"What a fabulous show! I just can't get those Gershwin tunes out of my head - so much so that I have just booked to see it again. I went because I'm a Gershwin fan but there was so much more to admire in this production; the sets, the costumes, those lovely dancing girls with their cute American accents, the live band, the dance sequences. The lead roles of Bobby Childs and Polly Baker were played wonderfully; Bobby had more than a touch of Fred Astaire in his appearance and mannerisms and reminded me of 1930's movies like Top Hat, Swingtime and Shall We Dance. It was a very funny show too, in particular the sequence with the two Bela Zangler's which ended with a beautiful tune I didn't know called 'What Causes That'. I can't wait till Saturday!" F.G.
"I felt so privileged to have been a member of the audience of the opening night of this wonderful production. Crazy For You is a Gershwin masterpiece and this Crescent Theatre production has certainly done it proud! The musical numbers are all well known and 'sing a long" and the high-kicking dancers are simply delightful. My favourite production number was 'Stiff Upper Lip' - possibly a less well known song but it did receive the longest applause of the evening. The end of the opening night's performance received a well deserved standing ovation from the near capacity audience and I would like to pass on my congratulations and thanks to all of the 'Crazy' company for a truly fabulous evening's entertainment. My advice - get a ticket - if there are any left - when word gets around, they are sure to be snapped up, and rightly so!" I.D.
"Have just got back from the show which was absolutely marvellous - indeed awesome. Every aspect - dancing, costumes, sets (very clever), fight scenes, singing, business - we could go on as they do at award ceremonies! It will surely be one of the best things you've done. Best wishes with the rest of the run." K.M.
"Must congratulate you what a brilliant show we had a fab night and your staff are all so friendly and professional." K.S.T
'So I went to see [Gershwin’s] Crazy For You at The Crescent last night. As someone who doesn’t normally like musicals, I was blown away by the talent and production. You can see and hear the hard work and dedication that went into the set, every note, every step and every performance. I recommend it to all. Songs you will know, great fun and buzz. Get along to see it this week!" V.C.
"Just back from opening night and what a fantastic show. Make sure you get tickets before they’re all gone." S.B.
