The Crescent Youth Theatre
In addition to the adult theatre, the Crescent has a Youth Theatre group which meets on Saturday mornings.
Each season, the Youth Theatre stages two productions a year, one by the Senior group and one by the Juniors.

There is currently a waiting list for the junior group while the senior group is full and the waiting list is closed for the time being.
This year (2011) the Seniors have already staged Maskerade, by Terry Pratchet, and the Juniors will be performing 9, a peice especially written for them by Mike Bourne.
The Youth Theatre Senior's production in March 2010 was Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, by Tom Stoppard, presented in conjuction with the adult theatre's production of Hamlet, followed by the Juniors production of The Terrible Fate of Humpty Dumpty in June.

The Youth Theatre Seniors staged a very moving Lorca Trilogy in March 2009 and there is a video relating to this on YouTube.
The Youth Theatre Juniors perfromed The Tempest in June 2009 and there is also a YouTube video of this.
In 2008 the Youth Theatre staged As You Like It in March and the Juniors performed a devised piece called Killing Time in May.
Other recent productions were The Last Resort in May 2007, Ghetto in March 2007, Twelfth Night, in March 2006, George Orwell's 1984 in March 2005 and Dance Marathon in March 20
They also created a short Halloween video called "Horror Movie" which can be seen on Google Video.
