“Every decision you’ve ever made and never made exists in an unimaginably vast ensemble of parallel universes” (Marianne).

In this witty, romantic comedy Roland, a bee-keeper, meets Marianne, a quantum physicist. In a succession of short scenes, skipping backwards and forwards in time, Payne explores ways in which their relationship might or might not develop, as he examines the notion that in a ‘multiverse’, at any given time, any number of different outcomes can co-exist.

Questioning the role of free will and chance, this is a compact, thought-provoking and ultimately very poignant play.
