Supreme Allied Headquarters, Portsmouth, June 1944. Eisenhower is about to make the decision to launch Operation Overlord. The consequences of unfavourable weather conditions for the D-Day landings are unimaginable. The responsibility for an accurate forecast falls on meteorologist James Stagg.

Tension builds inexorably throughout the play, as Haig explores the pressures on Eisenhower and Stagg – both also dealing with their own personal issues – as Stagg engages in a battle of wills with his American Second-in-command. A moving, fact-based drama about one of the great unsung heroes of the 20th Century.

"Pressure is a play that the Ron Barber studio was designed to stage – it is an evening’s theatre to be savoured – an all round triumph and destined to become legendary." Euan Rose, The Bromsgrove Standard
