The Crescent is one of Birmingham’s oldest theatre companies, operating from a purpose built theatre in the Brindleyplace development. We have a membership in excess of 250 actors, technicians, set designers, etc. and stage upwards of fifteen in-house productions a year. Our theatre has a 340 seat main house, 120 seat studio theatre, rehearsal rooms and spacious bar.
We have been producing theatre in the City of Birmingham for over 100 years and this is our third home in the city over that time – see the history page for a detailed account of our development over the last century.
In addition to our own 15 in-house productions a year, we also host numerous other companies, small and large, local and national, offering a wide variety of productions including theatre, dance, cinema and festivals.
The Crescent is a founder member of The Little Theatre Guild of Great Britain.
