Commemorating the 55th anniversary of the Aberfan Disaster, The Crescent Theatre is proud to present Neil Docking's play The Revlon Girl.
Set 8 months following the death of 116 children during the Aberfan Disaster of 1966, The Revlon Girl is based on the real-life story of a group of bereaved mothers who met every week above a local hotel to talk, cry and even laugh without feeling guilty. At one of their meetings, afraid that people would think them frivolous, they secretly arranged for a representative from Revlon to come and give them a talk on beauty tips. The Revlon Girl is a remarkably warm, sorrowful and at times funny play about grief, survivors and make-up.
Suitable for over 14s.
Following Friday's performance there will be an After Dark session which is an opportunity to meet members of the cast and creative team to discuss the production.
Sunday 24th October: All tickets £9.00
