'I will have poetry in my life. And adventure. And love. Love above all.'
Theatre is flourishing again after closure from the plague, and a young playwright by the name of William Shakespeare has shown great promise. There's just one problem - he's got writer's block. Cue a muse: Viola de Lesseps, who he promptly falls in love with. Viola inspires Will to write one of the greatest stage romances of all time. But the course of true love never did run smooth, and Viola is bethrothed to be married to the brutish Lord Wessex.
This wonderfully funny hit from Billy Elliot writer Lee Hall, adapts the multi-Oscar-winning film by Tom Stoppard & Marc Norman for the stage. It is one of the greatest stories of all time about theatre and love.
Following Friday's performance there will be an After Dark session which is an opportunity to meet members of the cast and creative team to discuss the production.
