The LTG will celebrate its 80th anniversary in May 2026 at the Crescent Theatre, Birmingham. Help LTG celebrate this great anniversary.

Friday 15 May

18:30 - onwards: Registration at The Old Rep, next to New Street Station. Tours of The Old Rep will be available at 18:30, 19:00 and 19:30 (subject to capacity limits for each session)

20:00 - BBQ Social Supper at The Old Rep followed by entertainment from Crescent Youth Theatre. There will also be excerpts performed by The Crescent's Come From Away cast and the bar will be open.

Saturday 16 May

Youth Theatre Festival - running alongside our Conference will be a Youth Theatre Festival in the Crescent Theatre's Main House. Approximately six groups from LTG Members’ Youth Theatres will stage short 20 minute performances. Delegates are welcome to watch these at any point during the day up to 16:00.

Yearbook advertisers - also in attendance in the Lowrie Bar will be representatives from some of our Yearbook advertisers and they will be available in all breaks for discussions with delegates.

08:00 - Breakfast rolls will be available at The Crescent and registration will reopen

Tours of the Crescent will be available at 08:15, 08:30 and 08:45 (subject to capacity limits for each session).

09:45 - Welcome by LTG & Crescent Theatre Chairmen

Following the welcome, you will be able to attend 2 out of the 4 workshops during the morning. The options are:

  • Practical techniques for exploration of voice and movement with young people focusing on Laban Efforts,
  • Neurodiversity,
  • PRS/PPL - The Music License
  • Paying Staff

11:00 - 11:30 - Coffee Break

11:30 - 12:30 - Workshop 2

12:30 - 13:30 - Lunch

13:30 - 14:30 - Presentation on NODA from COO, Dale Freeman, and Immediate Pastr President, Graham Liverton

14:30 - 15:00 - Coffee Break

15:00 - 16:00 - Keynote presentation from Joshua McTaggart, CEO of the Theatres Trust.

Down time to relax and change

18:00 - 19:45 - Watch Little Wars in the Ron Barber Studio at The Crescent.

20:15 - 23:00 - Gala Dinner

This will be held on stage in the Crescent's Main House and the Lowrie Bar will remain open afterwards.

Sunday 17 May

09:00 - Breakfast rolls will be available

09:45 - LTG AGM in the Main House.

11:30 - ‘In Conversation with an Actor’. If available, LTG Patron Jessica will host and we may keep the actor as a surprise. We don’t yet know who it will be but are planning on somebody well known for stage and screen.
